A good current option; needs improvement.

I am reasonably satisfied with this product. Overall, wireless IP cameras are one of those markets where the good items are very expensive, and the mid-range items are reasonably priced. This camera, in my opinion, is a good "mid-range" buy.Pros:* The camera DOES NOT REQUIRE A DEDICATED COMPUTER TO OPERATE. This was a huge priority for me.* The camera has a decent nighttime photograph.* The camera can be configured to use major providers such as Google Mail (Gmail) to send motion capture alarm/photos.Cons:* The mounting hardware included with the kit is awful: it's cheaply made and breaks easily. The unit is heavy and ideally requires higher quality mounting hardware.* The firmware and web-based admin interface lacks polish. It gets the job done, however. You'll need some help from somebody who knows what they are doing with computers and wireless devices, or you'll need the knowledge yourself.* No zoom... you have to position the camera in one static spot for motion capture.

Easy enough to set up, good enough picture, but the mounting hardware is so lightweight it won't hold the camera in place. I will have to rig something up to make it stay pointed where I want it.

I'm very satisfied with the picture quality. The alarming and viewing features are excellent, which makes it an exceptional camera for the price.The instructions are not the best, You will need to be Internet savvy to set up.
