Incorporating an iPhone / Android app for your smartphone, you can carry out virtually any task associated with the programming and monitoring of the system. Program in zones associated with each sensor and phone numbers to dial in an emergency - all on your phone! No smartphone? No problem - everything can be controlled remotely by SMS.
Give each member of your family an RFID tag and as the administrator you can check who's home, and who's out. Get notified when a member of your family checks in, and see whether the system is armed or diarmed - all from the palm of your hand. Call the system and have a two-way call with anyone standing close to the control panel.
In case of security breach, the auto-dialer will ring up to five numbers in sequence until someone answers. Then, disarm the system and take action - you can even dial in and listen to what's going on. Once installed, the G5 is totally programmable. That means you can lengthen or shorten the siren, extend the entry/exit time or receive alerts in case the batteries are low.

Great Customer Service - RFID is the wave of the future

RFID is the wave of the future for a lot of industries, and it's nice to see one of the first RFID based security systems on Amazon. I've had this system for a few days now, and not enough good can be said about how convenient it is to be able to swipe my RFID tag along the circular portion of the controller to disarm my system when I come home, as well as keep a real-time log of who's home and who's out from my Blackberry with the RFID technology. Had to call Fortress to order 3 more RFID tags for the kids because it only comes with 2, but it was sent same day, and the guy I spoke to was genuinely helpful.

Purchased this system from Fortress after reading up on the benefits of RFID tech, and I'm really happy I went with this one. I've had a fair amount of experience with wired and wireless security systems, and this one legitimately blows them out of the water. The main draw point for me was the free dedicated app the system comes with that allows Android and iPhone users to download. My girlfriend has the iPhone 5, and I have the Galaxy Note 2, so it's nice to have accomodating apps for both operating systems. The app allows me to remotely arm, disarm, and check a bunch of other really neat features that make this particular system extremely convenient. A little pricey, but it's substantiated by the RFID technology and accessibility. Really happy with this purchase.

Other reviewers touched on everything that makes this system great. Installation was a little over a half an hour. One of the motion detectors wasn't working; had another one at my doorstep in 2 days for free after calling Fortress. Super quick response time from this company. Cannot be more satisfied. RFID technology is a beast.
