Don't bother

We ordered 2, so it's not just a fluke. From bad to worse, the light has no feedback mechanism when turning it on via remote, so you don't know if it's actually armed. The sensor is recessed and so it has a very limited field of view. Last but not least, even when armed, it has a long delay, somewhere around 45 seconds from the time that it detects motion, before it sounds an alarm. 45 seconds is a long time is someone has just broken into your house and is headed up the stairs. I'm not sure why they designed it like this, as it completely defeats the purpose of the alarm. We returned both units. We have a Brinks alarm that functions the same way, only it works, and it works instantly. So we will be looking for more of those.

Swann Home Series "PIR Motion Light Alarm, SWHOM-ALARMP": I bought one and followed the directions exactly. The light function worked correctly, sensing motion. The alarm/light function did not work. I returned it to the store and got another one. Same thing. I called the manufacturer to see if there was something I was doing wrong. I was not. The manufacturer sent me a third device. Same thing, no alarm. Customer service directed me to return the store bought item to the store and send back to the manufacturer the one they sent me. End of story. I have never had a like experience, three defective devices. What is wrong with this company?
