I was searching for a wireless security system with auto-dialer. I wanted something that was aesthetically pleasing and functional. I found it with the STS-410-G2 by Shield Tech Security. This product was shipped and received in a timely manner. This model has many new features that will be useful. I am very satisfied with this product.

TOTAL JUNK ... DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

It took from November (when I received system) until February the following year to finally get a somewhat functional unit. First the adapter had to be replaced, next the secondary keypad would not function, finally the main system was totally replaced, then the sensors would not function properly. As if that was not enough of a headache, the more that parts went wrong, the seller insisted on sending only the section of the part defective part, and me (a non-technician) should remove and reinstall motherboards/wiring.Another HUGE problem was that the instructions were absolutely CONFUSING, lacked basic directions it claimed a lay person could follow to fully install, and eventually I had to surf the Internet to simply find what rights I had under Seller's nondisclosed warranty. You see, seller delayed responding to my requests for help until Amazon's 30-day warranty expired, then their own 60 day warranty on the alleged new batteries (with no expiration date on them to challenge their usability), which caused unit to reprogram sensors/zones to ones and lock up the main unit with event codes that required me several times to reprogram the entire system and purchase my own 30 batteries (with no credit given by Seller who only asked if I read Seller's warranty) even though the first time the unit barely functioned was not until I discovered all the batteries were dead/dying in February, 90 days later.The warranty, obviously omitted on purpose on Amazon's Marketplace website, still cites a one year warranty; but after purchasing and changing batteries (minimum of 30), reprogramming, a sensor still locked up the system due to yet another defect. I was told only the bad part of the sensor would be sent, and again I (a non-technician) would have to open up the unit and replace what needed to be replaced then see if that worked. Since then, the so-called new secondary keypad has ceased to function, and the defective sensor was never replaced, in spite of the Seller's so called (hidden) warranty found on another website (alarmsellout.com) altogether.The only reason I can conclude why defective parts are being replaced in bits and pieces instead of an entirely new working unit is because the defective parts are being refurbished and sent out to buyer to be installed whether you know anything about electronics/wiring or not.Save yourself the frustration of this system, and certainly do not trust it is working properly when by chance you trip an alarm then realize it is not -- system sounds when armed/disarmed, but forget to disarm and discover that not one of the 10 sensors triggered alarm system. Pathetic manual instructs to program system ready to arm ... well good luck with that! This has continued to happen up until the day of this review, and instead of dealing anymore with spare parts, pieces, and begging for a replacement part under Seller's warranty, I just bought a security camera system with the same alarm features and then some from a reputable North American manufacturer (not MADE IN CHINA) and WELL WORTH THE MONEY than this piece of crap alarm system!

Product should work as promised. I have shoppped for one now for a while and this one seems to be the best bang for the buck.
