2Gets the job done I guess
By Chris Wilson
I have this as my front door camera for my security system. It wont see 10 feet in the dark despite the IR lights. The picture quality is pretty bad but I wasnt expecting a miracle from such a small form factor. The field of view is pretty good. It covers my front door and small porch, so I can see faces but you cant see much after the person is about 20 feet away. IR bulbs are aready going out on the camera and this is the second one I got. I would replace it under warranty except it is too much of a pain to climb into the attic to retrieve the wire harness. The first one I purchased died within 3 months. I tried to RMA it but then I broke it trying to disconnect it from my house, so I just kept it on the house to appear as an extra camera because I knew they wouldnt take it in the condition it was in. I purchased the second one and within a few months one IR died. Its not worth going through the process to RMA it.Great for up close shots and one of the smallest cameras out there but that sums up the pros. My main concern is quality control and short useful life.2.25/5.0

4Pretty Awesome
By Christopher McKay
I was in the market for a cheap camera that would produce a fairly good image with decent IR lighting. This product was pretty amazing for the price. I opened the box and in 2 minutes it was hooked up to my 55" plasma tv. I was honestly expecting a distorted image because the camera wasn't hooked up to a smaller monitor but I was really surprised at the quality. For $30 I might get a few more.

5Great DIY baby monitor
By Dairylander
I got this camera to use as a baby monitor.I'm the paranoid type that doesn't want to add to the radio frequencies and EMFs already in our environment, so this camera is perfect because it is hard-wired.The colors aren't great, and the night vision is a little grainy, but it is so super easy to install that I didn't care. All I did was set the camera on top of a floor lamp, aim it at the kid, and run the wires into the next room and plug them into any television that has the little round yellow RCA inputs. It has a fairly wide-angle lens, meaning that you can put it close to the crib and still see the entire crib. Although this probably means that conversely, anything far away from the camera will look really small. I didn't test that out.I liked this camera a lot, but in the end returned it for the First Alert P-520 because that one has audio on it and can be used outdoors. I figure that when the kids get older, I may rig this up as a front door camera to screen out all the door-to-door solicitors.Overall, I was very impressed with how "plug-and-play" this was for such a cheap price.
