PiSector Cellular GSM Alarm System
By H. Loback
I purchased this solution for a location where cellular is my only means of connectivity. My system came with the keypad/console, 1 wireless motion sensor, 1 wireless door sensor, speaker, 2 remotes, & power supply. In addition, I purchased a couple hard wired door sensors (of a different brand) to use with this system. The instructions were complete and easy to follow. I used a T-Mobile SIM with my system which was easy to install and activate. It's worth noting for the benefit of anyone considering this system that I did run into a couple of minor issues during installation.Issue #1: The manual states that the hard wired zones are #97 - 99. In reality, they are #93 - 99. This caused some confusion on my part while configuring the hard wired zones. I suspect most people will only be configuring for wireless devices, so won't see this issue. Those (like me) that also install hard wired zones just need to note that the 1st set of terminals correspond to zone 93. Once configured correctly, the hard wired zones worked perfectly.Issue #2: I initially had some difficulty with the dial in feature to remotely arm & disarm the system. After some troubleshooting, I realized that the system requires a small delay (about 1 second) after entering each digit in the code. IE., If you enter the PIN too quickly it won't accept it, even though it is the correct pin. This is only when dialing into the system, not when directly entering the code from the keypad.Everything else... wireless motion sensor, wireless door sensor, speaker, etc., all worked fine the 1st time. In addition, I also hard wired a flood detection sensor from a manufacturer called "FloodStop" into the system. That seems to also work well.I like the flexability and features the system supports. The dial in feature for arm/disarm is a big plus. In addition, you can call in and "intercom" with whoever is in the house... another nifty feature. The FOBs/keychain remotes work well, appear well made, and seem to have good range.I should also note that the alarm siren is VERY LOUD, so have some ear plugs handy when testing.Despite my 2 noted issues, I think a 5 star rating is justified based on features and value. It's also worth noting that I contacted PiSector with one of my installation questions, and they were responsive and helpful.

RV security
By RVuser
Purchased this security system for installation on our motorhome RV because we had a break-in where the thief stole and damaged about $5000. in value. This system operates on 12 volts so adapted to the RV voltage very well. The greatest feature is the cell phone communications. The RV is stored at a lot that is not secured and is vulnerable to break-ins because nobody is nearby to hear or see anything unusual. This unit calls phone numbers to alert someone to a break-in or, using different sensors, can detect fires, glass break, sump pump overrun, door/window openings. Then, remotely, the system can be armed, disarmed or listen-in/intercom communications from any phone - anywhere. When we have to have service done on the RV, we can disarm the alarm from our cell phone so the technician can enter. The only problem so far is that the door switch can be triggered by nearby vibrations, such as a diesel engine running or starting in close proximity. When this happens, from our cell phone, we can turn the alarm "Off" and then listen to hear the sounds around the RV and also we can "intercom" or talk to anyone around the RV for reassurance of their intent, or, if needed, call the police. We have had this PISector Alarm for about 2 months and, so far, is doing a good job.

By dextt7
Excellent product that came with some surprises.. What i especially liked is that it came with a monitoring function that can be used to listen in to what is going on at close proximity of the system so i case of false alarm you can simple reset the system. A very good product..
