Item actually does work very well, but

It appears that people are saying that this sensor does not work. This is not true at all. What people don't realize is that it does work the first time you stand in front of it. After that, it goes to sleep for 3 minutes to save battery life. If it did not have this sleep feature then it may detect 1000 or more times draining the battery. Remember, it needs to go off only once to get an intruder. You may want to actually arm the system and come in like an intruder to really test it. You may have to do this a few times. I would do this before you are using monitoring. Keep in mind that there are a little better sensors out there, but you might pay twice as much. However, this sensor does do what it is supposed to do, especially in small to medium rooms.

I have a 2GIG Control Panel, a TS1 and about 50 different door/window/motion/etc sensors. These work great and were simple to install/set up. No complaints.

Not a Z-Wave device

I'm not sure what search I did that lead me to believe this was a z-wave device, but it is not. So, I can't tell you much else about it.
